The Macedon Ranges Wine and Food Festival offers guests a personalised experience tasting new and exclusive wines and learning first hand each wine and winemaker’s story. It is the perfect opportunity to take a break from the hectic pace of spring and take a deep breath. Winemaking is a gentle process and this is a big weekend of gentle celebration. Take your time and taste the best wine and food that the Macedon Ranges has to offer. All the producer-families have a great story, all are characters and all are passionate about what they do.
The festival is expected to attract more than 1500 serious connoisseurs and fun-loving quaffers, who can taste their way around the authentic cellar doors and restaurants nestled among the majestic Macedon Ranges.
Delicious food will be paired with the wines on offer, much of which has been sourced from paddocks next door. Local chefs in some of the region’s best restaurants will be holding special dinners and degustations over the weekend to celebrate the local wine and food producers. These are extremely popular so it is essential to book early.
The venues will have live music and there is plenty of room for the kids to run around.
A $20 Weekend Winery Pass includes a fine Plumm tasting glass that you can use to taste all of the wines on offer over the weekend. You can also book a bus to take you around the wineries on both Saturday and Sunday, so you can sit back and enjoy the ride. Just make sure you get in fast to book your seat on a bus as bookings are essential. Book your pass here.
